Cookies

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies the Routie online shop uses in its Slovak and English versions. The operator is Denva s. r. o., Ekoosada 3194/235, 925 22 Veľké Úľany, Slovakia, Company ID (IČO) 55376681.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser and reads on your next visit. The browser’s local storage (localStorage) works in a similar way, as does session storage (sessionStorage), which keeps data only until you close the tab.

The cookie bar

On your first visit a cookie bar appears with the choices Customise, Reject all and Accept all. Reject all and Accept all are buttons of the same size and prominence; on a phone, Customise is a link above them. In the settings you can choose individual categories: strictly necessary cookies are always on, analytics and marketing cookies only with your consent. Until you consent, nothing that is not strictly necessary starts, and rejecting does not stop you from using the shop.

Strictly necessary cookies

The shop does not work without these cookies: they keep your basket, access to your design and your order, your sign-in to your account and your choice in the cookie bar. Under Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on electronic communications they do not need your consent. They hold nothing that tracks you across websites.

  • commerce_cart: opens your basket. Valid for 30 days.

  • commerce_cart_present: tells the page that you have a basket, so it does not ask for one needlessly. Holds no data about you or your basket. Valid for 30 days, like the basket.

  • commerce_design: opens the print design you created in the configurator. Valid for 90 days.

  • commerce_order: opens the order you have just placed. Valid for 90 days.

  • commerce_customer.session_token: keeps you signed in to your account. Valid for 30 days or until you sign out.

  • routie_consent: keeps your cookie settings choice together with a random consent ID and the time, so the bar does not appear on every visit and we can demonstrate that consent was given or withdrawn. Valid for 12 months.

Browser storage

  • commerce.promoPopup: remembers that you have already seen or closed the discount code offer.

  • select-menu.refocus: returns focus to the sorting or filter field you used after the list reloads. It is kept in session storage until the next page loads.

Analytics and marketing tools

Google Tag Manager from Google Ireland Limited loads only after you consent to analytics or marketing cookies, and it loads other measurement and marketing tools only within the scope of your consent. It stores no cookies itself, but Google processes your IP address and technical browser data when it loads. We use Google Consent Mode v2 in basic mode: until you consent, and after you reject, no data is sent to Google or Meta.

We store analytics and marketing cookies on your device and read them only with your consent under Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. The personal data processed in doing so is processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Consent is voluntary, and withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

The checkout and order pages load neither Google Tag Manager nor any measurement or advertising tool, so that no third-party script runs where you enter your address and pay. Our server therefore sends the checkout steps and the completed purchase itself, and only within the scope of your consent: with consent to analytics cookies to Google Analytics 4, with the identifiers from the _ga and _ga_<container-id> cookies, and with consent to marketing cookies to Meta, with the identifiers from the _fbp and _fbc cookies, details of your browser and your IP address. It sends a purchase only once the order is paid. Without consent the server sends and stores nothing; it keeps the identifiers only until the event is sent, for 35 days at most.

Google and Meta may transfer data to Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA, which are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer relies on the European Commission’s adequacy decision.

Analytics cookies

They show how visitors use the shop, for example how many people visit, which pages they view and where they come from, and help us improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited, which measures traffic and how the shop is used, for example pages viewed, traffic source and device type, in aggregate statistics.

With your consent, the shop also sends shopping events to measurement: product and product list views, adding to and removing from the basket, checkout steps and completed purchases (order number, products and amounts, never your name, email, phone or address), and newsletter signups without the email address.

  • _ga: distinguishes visitors with a randomly generated identifier to measure website traffic. Valid for 2 years.

  • _ga_<container-id>: keeps the state of the current visit (session) and the page view count for Google Analytics. Valid for 2 years.

  • _gac_gb_<container-id>: holds advertising campaign information when Google Analytics is linked to Google Ads. Valid for 90 days.

Marketing cookies

They measure how well advertising campaigns work and are used to show ads tailored to your interests on this website and elsewhere. Google Ads from Google Ireland Limited measures conversions from Google ads (for example orders or enquiries an ad brought in) and shows ads to visitors of the website (remarketing).

  • _gcl_au: stores an identifier used to measure conversions from Google ads and attribute them to ad clicks. Valid for 90 days.

  • _gcl_aw, _gcl_dc, _gcl_gb, _gcl_gs: store data about a click on a Google ad so the conversion it brought in can be measured. Set only when you arrive from an ad. Valid for 90 days.

  • _gcl_ls: a copy of the Google ad click data in local storage for conversion measurement. Kept until cleared in the browser.

  • IDE: Google uses it on .doubleclick.net to show, measure and target ads across the Google advertising network. Valid for 13 months.

  • test_cookie: checks on .doubleclick.net whether the browser accepts cookies. Valid for 15 minutes.

The Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited measures the effectiveness of Facebook and Instagram ads (for example whether an ad led to a visit, an enquiry or an order) and shows ads to website visitors on Meta platforms.

  • _fbp: a browser identifier Meta uses to recognise a website visitor for ad measurement and for showing ads on Facebook, Instagram and other services that use the Meta advertising system. Valid for 90 days.

  • _fbc: stores the ID of a click on a Facebook or Instagram ad to measure whether the ad led to a visit, an enquiry or an order. Set only when you arrive from such an ad. Valid for 90 days.

  • fr: Meta uses it on .facebook.com to deliver, measure and improve ads for users of Facebook and other Meta services. Valid for 90 days.

  • lastExternalReferrer, lastExternalReferrerTime: the Meta Pixel stores the last external website you came from and the time of arrival in local storage, and deletes them after 90 days.

Third-party services

When you pay by card, Stripe’s payment form loads, and when you choose a pickup point, Packeta’s map loads. These services may store their own strictly necessary cookies in their window, for example to prevent fraud, under their own privacy policies. Your browser loads the configurator’s map tiles, relief and label fonts from our own map server, tiles.routie.sk, which Cloudflare delivers. No third-party map provider receives your IP address, and no cookies or local storage entries are created.

How to manage cookies

You can change your choice in the cookie bar or withdraw consent at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer. When you withdraw consent, we delete from your browser the cookies and storage entries that the category stored on our website’s domain; cookies that Google and Meta stored on their own domains can be deleted in your browser settings. Consent is valid for 12 months; after that, or after a significant change to the cookies we use, we ask you to decide again.

To be able to demonstrate consent, we record every choice you make, a refusal included: the consent ID, the time, the chosen categories, the consent version, the page and language, a keyed hash (HMAC) of your IP address, never the IP address itself, and your browser’s user agent. We keep the record for 3 years. The legal basis is our obligation to be able to demonstrate consent (Article 7(1) in conjunction with Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; without the strictly necessary cookies, however, the basket and ordering will not work. You will find more about how we process personal data on the Privacy page.

Effective from 30/10/2026.
